Ramping the 0.13µm Generation
The industry's technology-driven transitions to 0.13 and 0.10µm are
exceptional because of the simultaneous move to 300 mm wafers, an economically
motivated transition. In light of remaining process uniformity and automation
challenges, several device manufacturers will transfer their more mature, 0.18µm
processes from 200 to 300 mm first to minimize risk.
