Obducat Garners Nanoimprint Orders From LED Maker Luxtaltek Nanoimprint lithography (NIL) vendor Obducat AB (Malmö, Sweden) said it has received an order for two imprint systems from Luxtaltek Corp. (Taipei, Taiwan), a maker of high-brightness light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Luxtaltek President Sean Lin said Obducat will "fully support the Luxtaltek production expansion plan for the next two years, which involves another five Sindre 400 systems and several Sindre 60 systems." Intel Turbo Charges Future Core Processors Intel showed off its next-generation desktop Core i7 processors and energy-efficient, high-performance server products, code-named "Nehalem-EP," that will move into production in the fourth quarter, writes Ann Steffora Mutschler, senior editor at Electronic News. Speaking at the Intel Developer Forum being held this week in San Francisco, Intel Senior Vice President Pat Gelsinger said Intel is planning a second server derivative aimed at the expandable sever market, code-named "Nehalem-EX," along with desktop and mobile client versions in the second half of 2009.
