The thematic areas of the conference are micro and nano lithography; micro and nano fabrication, nano engineering, MEMS and NEMS; and micro and nano engineering for life sciences.

Applications in electronics, electro-mechanics, energy, environment and life sciences are discussed such as nanoelectronics, MEMS-NEMS, bioMEMS and lab-on-a-chip devices. Usually the conference is organized in three parallel sessions and features plenary talks, invited presentations and invited posters, poster sessions, and a commercial exhibition.
