Samsung Chairman Resigns
Lee Kun-hee, Samsung Group's chairman who was indicted on tax evasion charges, stood before a group of grim Samsung executives Tuesday to announce his retirement, The New York Times reports. Few Koreans expected Kun-hee to resign, but he said, "I thought I had a long road to travel and a lot of things to do. I have regrets. But I think this is time for me to leave, taking all the mistakes of the past with me."
