Indian IT services company Satyam Computer Services has partnered with International Sematech Manufacturing Initiative (ISMI), a global alliance of the world's major semiconductor manufacturers, to develop a next-generation advanced software tester.

The ConFy software tester will validate the automation capabilities of advanced semiconductor factory equipment. It will emulate semiconductor manufacturing environments and allow equipment manufacturers to check the conformance of their tools to current and emerging SEMI standards in equipment connectivity and fab manufacturing automation.

ConFy offers automated testing of SECS/GEM 300 SEMI standards implementation. It also includes a custom test plan scripter for testing the actual production environment, secure test entities and support multiple load ports, concurrent testing, and creation of custom reports.

The company said its existing customer base of semiconductor equipment manufacturers and chip manufacturers, and the industry as a whole, will benefit from quicker integration of equipment in chip manufacturing facilities.
