Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology Announces Record Sales in February

Bucking market headwinds, Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology Ltd (OIPT, Oxford, England) announced that it received orders for 20 systems in February, the highest monthly order rate in its 25-year history. The company provides tools for etching, deposition and growth of nanostructures.

The orders included an ion beam cluster system costing ~$2M, as well as five production tools for a manufacturing facility in Malaysia.

Mark Vosloo, director of sales, said, “We are extremely pleased to have achieved an exceptional level of orders in February. This is in line with our target to double the company’s turnover by 2010.”

Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology Ltd. said it achieved record unit shipments in February.
