Semiconductor300 Reaches Milestone

Semiconductor300 (Dresden, Germany), the joint venture between Infineon Technologies (formerly Siemens Semiconductors, Munich, Germany) and Motorola (Austin, Texas), announced that yields on 300 mm wafers as its pilot line now surpass the maximum potential yields of 200 mm wafers. The best wafers produced in the pilot line have shown wafer test yields >60%, which is ~145% of the total possible from a 200 mm wafer.
