Dr. Peter R.
Younger was named president and chief operating officer of MKS Instruments
Inc. (Andover, Mass.). He brings more than 20 years of experience in the
semiconductor and thin film manufacturing industries. He will be responsible for
global operations, which include the business groups with manufacturing
facilities in the U.S., Japan, U.K., Germany and Korea as well as direct

Fred Mirzaie was named to a new
position responsible for worldwide engineering support of customers and the

Derek Mortensen was appointed
director of international sales of Quad Systems Corp. (Willow Grove, Pa.). He is
