HP Chooses European Center, Reorganizes Semiconductor Test

Barcelona, Spain, is the choice for the European Administrative and Financial Center of Hewlett-Packard Corp.'s (Palo Alto, Calif.) Test and Measurement Organization. The multilingual business center will support HP's Test and Measurement activities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It will start operations during the last quarter of 1999 and employ approximately 200 people.

In another major development, the company announced the reorganization of business operations within its Automated Test Group. With the reorganization, HP said it will focus greater resources on four semiconductor test disciplines: SOC devices, RFIC, memory ICs and semiconductor parametric test (process monitoring).
