Vitesse Opens First 150 mm GaAs Fab

Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. (Camarillo, Calif.) dedicated the world's first 150 mm GaAs wafer fab. The Pierre Lamond Wafer Fabrication Facility in Colorado Springs, Colo., named after the company's chairman of the board of directors, more than triples Vitesse's manufacturing capability and is equipped for volume production and testing of high-speed integrated circuits. It supports current generations of Vitesse's proprietary H-GaAs technology and will be the platform for future technology development.
