Judd Prozeller has been promoted to vice president of quality at CVC (Rochester, N.Y.). Also at the company, Dr. Dorian Heimanson has been appointed chief scientist of PVD products.

Lawrence Murphy has been appointed to vice president of manufacturing at Tosoh SMD (Grove City, Ohio). He has been with the company for nine  years and will be responsible for all manufacturing operations in the semiconductor, thin film media and flat panel display cell. Also at the company,

Sohail Qamar has been appointed to the newly created position of advanced materials support manager.

Robert Glass has been hired as director of worldwide sales at SCP Global Technologies (Boise, Idaho). Also at SCP, Laurel Smith and Paul Sadlek have been promoted to product marketing manager and wet bench product manager, respectively, and Paul W. Dryer has joined as an applications engineer working in Tempe, Ariz.

Norbert Loch and Rick Whitney have been named chief operating officer and vice president of construction, respectively, at Meissner+Wurst (Burlingame, Calif.).

Dale Tucker has been hired as the national ESD sales manager of VPI's Floor Products Division (Sheboygan, Wis.). He brings with him more than 20 years of sales management and ESD control experience.

Fred Weaver has been named vice president of the new customer satisfaction group at Advanced  Energy Industries Inc. (Fort Collins, Colo.). He has more than 20 years experience in the industry.

Kevin McDonough has been appointed director of product engineering at IXYS Corp. (Santa Clara, Calif.). He has more than 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.

Bonnie E. Nelson has been hired as controller of Futurestar Corp. (Bloomington, Minn.). She brings with her 15 years of experience in public accounting.

Paul Whitman and Stan Oda have been hired as western regional sales manager and product specialist, respectively, at TMT Inc. (Sunnyvale, Calif.). Whitman has 25 years of experience in the field, and Oda has 12 years.

Mary Carey has been promoted to product manager, hot air solder leveling products at Dexter Electronic Materials (Industry, Calif.). Also at the company, Larry Loerch has been promoted to director of marketing, imaging products.

Jeff White has been appointed vice president of operations at Source Electronics Corp. (Hollis, N.H.). He has 13 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing environment.

Frederick W. Larsen and Charles A. Noe have been hired as global account manager and sales manager for the western region, respectively, at Mattson Technology Inc. (Fremont, Calif.). They have more than 30 years of combined industry experience.

Michael Davis has been named director of human resources at Eaton Semiconductor Equipment Operations (SEO, Beverly, Mass.). He has more than 14 years of experience in human resources roles.

Paul Blackborow has been appointed to  the newly created position of corporate vice president of marketing at MKS Instruments (Andover, Mass.). He has more than 17 years of semiconductor industry experience.

Gary A. Mezack has been named marketing manager of Varian Ion Implant Systems (Gloucester, Mass.). He brings with him more than 15 years of experience in the semiconductor equipment field. Also at the company, Tsuyoshi Naito has been appointed general manager of semiconductor equipment factory and engineering operations for its subsidiary, Varian Japan, K.K.

Charles Lemak has been promoted to director of North American sales at Tegal Corp. (Petaluma, Calif.). He has been with the company since 1994.

Chi-San Loh has been named senior technical representative for West Coast applications at Ashland Chemical Co.'s Electronics Chemicals Division (Dublin, Ohio). He has more than 10 years of experience in the electronics chemicals industry.

Dr. Todd Hylton has been appointed chief technology officer of Commonwealth Scientific Corp. (Alexandria, Va.). He holds a doctorate in applied physics from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree in physics from MIT.

Roger Welker has been named senior director of the applications department of Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions (Milpitas, Calif.). He previously held positions at  Micropolis, Seagate and IBM.

Dr. Michael Chuang has been appointed president of KLA-Tencor Taiwan. He has a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the National Taiwan University, a doctorate in physical chemistry from Stanford University and a post-doctoral master's degree in finance and international business from New York University.

Asuri Raghavan has been appointed president and CEO of GaSonics International (San Jose, Calif.). Dave Toole will assume the role of chairman of the board, and Monte Toole will remain on the board as vice chairman.

Jeanne Beacham has become the new president of a former division of Vichem Corp., now called Gel-Pak Corp. (Sunnyvale,  Calif.). She has more than 17 years of experience in semiconductor equipment and materials.

Michael Anderson has been named director of worldwide customer service at Electro Scientific Industries Inc. (Portland, Ore.). He has more than 13 years of experience in the industry.

David Bayly has been appointed vice president of sales and field operations at Lam Research Corp. (Fremont, Calif.). He is an 18-year veteran of the semiconductor and semiconductor equipment industry.

Dave Nachreiner has been promoted to the newly created position of director, gas-chem center operations at Air Liquide America (Walnut Creek, Calif.). He holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Penn State University and a master's degree in industrial administration from Carnegie Mellon University.

Howard H. Levine has been appointed director of marketing and business development at M3 Technologies (Monroe, Conn.).

Mary Puma has been named vice president and general manager of the Implant Systems Division of Eaton Semiconductor Equipment Operations (Beverly, Mass.). She has been with Eaton since 1996 and has 15 years of experience.

Timothy J. Roth has been promoted to national sales manager at GLI International Inc. (Milwaukee, Wis.). He will be responsible for North American sales.

Mark Rosenzweig has been named president of BOC Edwards, the Americas (Wilmington, Mass.). He has been with the company since 1992.
