DPI Completes Acquisition of H-P's Photomask Unit

DuPont Photomasks Inc. (DPI, Round Rock, Texas) closed its agreement with Hewlett-Packard Co. (Palo Alto, Calif.) to buy the latter's photomask manufacturing operations. DPI will pay ~$39 million to acquire H-P's photomask making equipment and inventory. DPI also secured a long-term agreement to act as HP's strategic photomask supplier. The equipment will be transferred to DPI's worldwide facilities.
