HOGEN 40 proton exchange membrane compact hydrogen generator provides process pressure without mechanical compression. It features automatic control, no caustic electrolytes and cell stack assembly, and is asbestos-free. Applications include semiconductor manufacturing, material processing and meteorology. The individual membrane assemblies are stacked into a cell that manifolds water in and product gas out. The stack rods contain spring washers to maintain even pressure as the stack expands and contracts due to temperature changes during normal operation.
