The Galaxy screen printer enables SMT assemblers and semiconductor packagers to implement high-accuracy mass imaging at commercial volumes. The unit features a Cognex 8100 vision system with programmable lighting and JEDEC wafer chuck and carrier standards. Wafer or substrate ball attach capability is to 0.3 mm ball diameter. It delivers print speeds of 2-300 mm/sec, with 0-20 kg print pressure and 0-6 mm print gap. Alignment is 2.0 Cpk at ±12.5 µm, cycle time is 7 sec, product changeover is 2 min., and new product setup is &10 min.
